WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE CONFERENCE CHAIRPERSON

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we would like to warmly welcome you to the "International Conference of Drug Discovery in Chinese Medicine: From Basic Research to Clinical Applications" (中醫藥研發國際會議: 從基礎研究到臨床應用) to be held on 28 July, 2023 in Hong Kong.

This conference is organized by the School of Chinese Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. The School has endeavored to unlock the scientific basis of Chinese medicine and facilitate its modernization since its inception 25 years ago and devote to the translational and clinical studies on Chinese medicine for a wide range of common diseases.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the founding of our School, and the captioned international conference is one of the premier celebratory events. The theme of the Conference is the drug development from Chinese Medicine and natural products from basic discovery to clinical trials. The programme of the meeting features the latest scientific research of drug discovery in Chinese Medicine and natural products. We are confident this conference will be a perfect interdisciplinary forum that brings together Chinese medicine practitioners, pharmaceutical scientists, basic and clinical researchers and other interested parties around the world to explore, share and exchange the most updated knowledge and valuable research ideas.

The Conference will be held in a hybrid mode, both physically and virtually through live-streaming, but we hope to see many of you in person whenever safe and feasible.
