Honorary Research Assistant (s)

The School of Chinese Medicine, CUHK invites applications for the position of Honorary Research Assistant (s) for the period from 1 February to 31 August 2026. These appointments will be on an honorary basis. Successful candidates will be assigned to the teaching clinics of SCM, CUHK, where they will assist teachers during consultation sessions, surveys and support various clinic activities, including natural mobilization and community service projects.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Assisting teachers during consultation sessions

2. Conducting patient surveys as part of research initiatives

3. To support activities of the clinics such as Natural Moxibustion (天灸) and School’s community services such as free consultations (義診服務).

 

Job Requirements

  • Candidate should be a graduate from SCM, CUHK, less than five years of graduation is preferable.
  • Candidate who had obtained Registration from Chinese Medicine Council of Hong Kong is preferable.
  • Candidate is required to abide by the administrative and service regulations and internal administrative guidelines of the SCM Teaching Clinic and IMC;
  • Candidate is required to maintain the confidentiality of clinic patient data and classified information under SCM Teaching Clinic and IMC;
  • Candidate is required to fulfill the duties# assigned by SCM and IMC;
  • This appointment is on honorary basis; no monetary compensation shall be provided to the candidate; and
  • Duration of the appointment will be 6 months, renewable subject to mutual agreement and performance.
  • Candidate who can type Chinese Characters is preferable.
